The transatlantic jaunt: long, long, long. Two buses, two planes, transitions lengthened by delays. Long hours planted on my adorable booty, relieved by long spells of standing/waiting. Got on a crowded bus at 11:40 a.m. in sunny Montpelier on Monday, emerged from the Metro here in sunny Madrid around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Have been slowly getting my footing, catching up on sleep, beginning to connect with friends. And the beat goes on.
